A camp of a different color…

Assateague National Seashore was on the NPS maybe list but friends Elizabeth and Rick recommended it and they weren’t wrong. After departing from a great week in Philly and NYC, we start back toward FL for some DillerTime Bus fixes at LaMesa and to reunite with our #2 son Jayden who rejoins the tour at this week after a semester of northern living with the Wisconsin Dillers! Thank you for the “cheesy” hospitality and for giving Jayden lots of love this fall ❤️

While we only had 1 day at Assateague it was amazing. Wild horses, deer, falcon and other birds as well as an epic sunset and sunrise… yes I got up for the beach sunrise 😎

We did have some trouble with sand spurs on the dogs’ feet but the scenery and wildlife were truly unique and we highly recommend the Maryland/Delaware coastline for a peaceful camping trip! Also, while the Ocean City Boardwalk was largely closed for the season it was a great walk and we found the best cream shop in town Dumser’s Dairyland!
